I'm in Japan for a while and I selected Netherlands thinking that the path from Japan to Netherlands would have a lower latency than to New York or wherever the other location is. Unfortuantely, while I get 140ms to Las Vegas on another server (my own), I get 260ms to this Hosthorde server I signed up for. THese latency tests were done via tracert without other services running. Has anyone else experienced disappointing latencies when using netherlands?
Just did a basic ping test to Tokyo from our servers (AWS 54.64.0.2 server listed at http://ec2-reachability.amazonaws.com) United States: 161ms Netherlands: 247ms If you'd like, you can order a new server in the USA, and submit a ticket requesting a refund for your Netherlands server (referencing this forum post).
