Hello, I've recently purchased a server (beginner plan) from Host Horde after looking at the plans (and after the owner of other host horde server i played on abused his power) and I was wondering a few things :
*How do i activate plugins ? Specifically the Ollivanders plugin. My server is running at 1.7.10 and i browsed the plugins and installed it, however it doesnt seem to be working . How do i actually turn it on ?

*The other Host Horde server i played on ran on 1.7.10, however i could play it on a 1.7.4 version of minecraft. Any ideas as to why ? I would really prefer to use that account for the server . (The only difference that i know of is that his server had 50 player slots, mine has 10)

*How can I create a default spawn room ? Is there a command for it, or do i need a command block?

*How do i edit the server description ? Like when i go to my servers it says "A minecraft server" , how do i change this ?

All answers will be greatly appreciated, as i would love to make a server that my friends and new players alike will enjoy !

    1) To run plugins you will need to use either CraftBukkit or Spigot.

    2) The other server most likely was running a build of Spigot which allows multiple versions to connect. Amount of slots depend on the plan you are using, as well as server resources.

    3) You can set the spawn point with either the command /setworldspawn (Built into vanilla), or download a CraftBukkit plugin that does the same thing.

    4) Edit the description (also known as the motd) in the server.properties file found in your server root.
